About the Designer:

Website design artist Elizabeth Himmerich brings a variety of background
experiences and skills into site programming. Originally schooled in
the liberal arts, she has taken coursework in journalism, photography,
public relations, statistical modeling, and, of course, computer
programming and information technology.
She feels that a diverse background is important in web design: "Website design involves the four quadrants of programming, journalism, design, and marketing. It is important to maintain balance among all these elements." She did not seek this area intentionally, however. "I only pursued website design as a solution to a specific case at first. I am a problem-solver, and it was a means to an end." But she found the work creatively stimulating and also satisfying, and so kept on with it. When not designing sites or otherwise pursuing gainful employment, Himmerich enjoys spending time with her six nieces and nephews, exercising, cooking, reading, and studying history. |
