We are proud to support the arts, particularly visual arts and mediums, and art instruction and education programs. We feature quality resources in a number of areas, including but not limited to oil painting, ceramics, illustration, watercoloring, photography, and graphic arts. Traditional arts like painting, sketching, watercolours, pottery, and sculpture rank high on the list of exclusive arts demanding high precision and mastery along with innate talent. Yet technological advances have proven an incredible boon to art as well as commercial demands. Digital, computer art with 3D rendering and effects, and mastery of graphics software and programing, require years of specialized graphic design training, instruction, and practice. Photography, once looked down upon by some painters, illustrators, and sculptors, has become an art form enjoyed by the masses. Crafts also occupy equal space here. Our crafts section includes diverse art and craft subject matter such as beading, basketry, mosaics, doll-making, metal crafts, glass, papermaking, crochet, quilting, embroidery, knitting, and more. There are two types of listings available. The first is classification by medium, such as paint, clay (ceramics), pen, colored pencils, and etc. The second is by style or subject. Included here are styles such as "abstract," and "pop art." Subjects include pets, equine, lighthouses and marine, portraits, still life, florals, and wildlife. Obviously there is some overlap within each of these areas.
